‘We’re all in this together’ – say the ConDems

6th September 2010

But is that claim true?

The top 10% in the UK have 100 times more wealth than the bottom 10%

By the age 55-64 the top 10% of professionals own on average £2.2millions in property and pensions, while the bottom 10% of manual workers own less than £8000 worth of anything!

Public spending cuts will put at least 750,000 more people on the dole and affect heavy users of services while the rich get away scot free.

Meanwhile the ConDems in government and here on ‘Wirral keep saying ‘We’re all in this together’ while the greatest burden of the government’s plan to pay off the bankers’ debts falls most heavily on those on low incomes.

With 18 millionaires in their Cabinet whose interests are the Tory/Liberal government going to serve?  Does anybody in Seacombe believe they’ll serve our interests, or our children’s?
