This is an email sent by a Seacombe resident to defector Denis Knowles.  It requires no comment:  it says it all.  ……..   Well, nearly all.

Subject: Your leaflet distribution

Denis,

I notice today that when delivering the Conservative leaflets in Elmswood road you failed to deliver one to my address.  I was at the door & my wife by the car and you saw me but chose to walk past.   Tell me is it conservative policy or just yours to fail to distribute leaflets to the voters that directly criticised your defection?

I am still a voter that would benefit from the information available/distributed in my area that will help me decide in which way to vote come the local & general elections.

If my criticism about your defection is the reason why you are being selective, then can I emphasise the reasons why am so critical of your defection.   You were voted in by the electorate as a labour candidate, not conservative. You could have become an independent & then the electorate including myself would have had more respect for you & maybe supported your leaving of the Labour party.

If your were adamant that you wanted to become a Tory, then you should have publicly stated your reasons for leaving Labour & called a by-election, publicly stating your beliefs in Tory policy.

It is the way in which you had taken the electorate for granted that I am disgusted in the way in which you handled your defection.

I notice your rant comparing revolutionaries Che Guevara and Fidel and Raul Castro to some of your local Conservative colleagues, Cllr Lesley Rennie and Cllr Leah Fraser who is challenging Wallasey MP Angela Eagle has been removed, why would that be? I don’t think that this comparison would do Cllr Leah Fraser any justification come polling day.

Regards

 Paul
