In the first of a series of fund raising activities being sponsored by local businesses the Park View Social Club (RAOB) led the way earlier today with a ‘race afternoon’.

Great thanks must go from the whole community to Mr Bill Jones, seen here with Allandale Chairman Joe Lee, who will shortly accept a cheque from the club for £320.  

 This was a very considerable success – indeed a remarkable amount of money- considering that despite more than 3000 flyers being distributed in the area (thanks for that go to Wirral Biz), and several organisations publicising the event, fewer than 30 people, most of whom were Park View regulars, turned up to support the Allandale.  

Angela Eagle MP joined in the fun as did three Seacombe Councillors.  The money poured in primarily through the generosity of about 20 Park View  regulars who came specially to support the Allandale. 

Behind Bill and Joe is the flag of the RNLI – better known just as ‘The Lifeboats’.

The ‘Park View’ is becoming famous for its wide range of real ales as well as fine lagers and the full range of other drinks.  There is also a large rear paved area to a high standard for summer time events.
